Tel Aviv, a city of contrasts: The Technohedonismus stronghold and center of the Alternative-Rock scene. Jerusalem,the unintentional holy city: The Pilgrimage of three religions and also the headquarters of political propaganda. Dikla Stern, critical observer of Israel from the perspective of a European woman trying to find a solution to the dilemma of nationalist tendencies:
"My gas mask, my rat and my bodyguard" - A linguistic adaptation to the futility of advertising, and the cynical and artificial war is staged. Despite the opposite message in the media, we do not have any gas masks in Israel. What does this suggest about the next war? A rat felt on land mines, they symbolize the many people who still fall victim to them. Not missing, finally allowed the bodyguard, nice accessories personal safety of our period. Dikla Stern; Existential. German. Jewish. Intellectual. Underground. Art. Rock`n`Roll. She defined herself. Like last year at the "2. Ökumenischen Kirchentag" in Munich 2011 the np-organisation Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe will be present again at the "33. Deutscher, Evangelischer Kirchentag" which take place in June, 1st - 5th, 2011 in Dresden, Germany. For this case artists had painted the walls of the cube outside with different scenes of conflict regions.

From Mr. Sandman to Mr. Schmock is the name of the exhibition from Dikla Stern, showing the newest works. Referring to this topics were discussed like sexuality, reality, vision and illusion. With different kind of materials these topics were translated with canvas-cover, perspex, canvas and plastic in an experimental method.
The opening is on sunday march 7th, 2010, 4 p.m. at Kunst Kiez Neckarstadt, temporal gallery, founded by Antje Böttger and Simone Vogt. Adress: Melchiorstr. 2 / Corner Lange Rötterstraße, 68167 Mannheim, entrance in the post-office courtyard.
